( I found that all your spent fans and unlocked concept art stats are saved even after downgrading!) As I got to about 70% completion, I made a backup save just in case. I downgraded to patch 1.01 (which eliminates the DLC), and started the single-player campaign on Brutal.(I swear my concept art browser said 10 of 17 Ironheade concept art unlocked!) I downloaded all patches & DLC, and got all online trophies for the main game and the DLC, and also unlocked what I thought was all the multiplayer-unlocked concept art.So for me I can confirm the 1.01 downgrade trick works great!!! Edited Februby rupshallĪ few years late, but thanks for sharing this, rupshall! When I did my playthrough this last week, I basically did a hybrid between this and Conceptfly's method. Not sure if this is news to anybody but I wasn't expecting to be able to go back into single player after upgrading to version 1.02 but I am able to do so without issue. I now have my plat and 100% and I am completely free to play single or multiplayer on version 1.02 without lockups I went all the way through the game on brutal this way after I had completed everything I upgraded to version 1.02, I then started up single player and got all of the Hammer DLC trophies when playing the story I played the first couple missions until the secondary missions opened up, then I made a point of doing all mission on the map before I did the primary missions, I'd also get any serpents/jumps/buried metal/legends that were available to me as well(I used a checklist/map) I am at version 1.02 now and I can go freely between story and multi player modes without lockup. I got my plat yesterday, I got my 100% actually, zero lockups. I didn't realize 1.02 was needed for Hammer DLC. I deleted the Brutal Legend data, did the 1.01 "trick", then downloaded Tears DLC and bought/downloaded Hammer DLC. I ended up locking up around 80-100 serpents like many other people so I put it away hoping for a patch.Īfter months of following the Double Fine forums wishing for a patch, I finally realized that it wasn't coming so I decided I would try the "downgrade" trick to 1.01. ![]() ![]() I was running version 1.02 and I had the Tears DLC pack. I first started to play this game December 2009.
